Privacy
The short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser, we never see what you type into it, and we don't ask you to sign up for anything.
The calculator never sends us anything
Every calculation on this site happens in JavaScript, in your browser. Your car, your supply type, your battery percentages — none of it is transmitted anywhere, stored on a server, or logged. There is no server-side processing to send it to. If you turn off your internet after the page loads, the calculator still works.
What we store on your device
One thing: your light or dark theme preference, kept in your browser's local
storage under jme-theme. It never leaves your device and it isn't
a tracking identifier. Clearing your browser data removes it.
We don't use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful — page views and referrers, not individuals. If we do, we'll choose a provider that doesn't use cookies, doesn't build cross-site profiles, and doesn't sell data. This page will name it.
Links to other sites
We link to manufacturer spec sheets, standards documents and news sources. Once you follow a link you're on someone else's site, subject to their privacy practices, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.
If we add affiliate links in future, those typically set a cookie on the retailer's side to attribute a sale. That's the retailer's mechanism, not ours, and we'll say so on the pages where it applies — see our disclosure page.
If you email us
We'll have your email address and whatever you wrote, and we'll use it to reply and to fix whatever you've told us about. We won't add you to a mailing list, because we don't have one.
Your rights
Since we don't collect personal information, there's usually nothing for us to show you or delete. If you've emailed us and want that correspondence removed, just ask — hello@juicemyev.com.au.
Changes
If this policy changes materially — particularly if we add analytics or affiliate tracking — we'll update the date at the top and describe what changed rather than quietly swapping the text.
